Whether you’re building furniture or a house, a table saw is one of the tools that not only makes me want a table saw, but I absolutely need one. A good table saw is one of the most important tools available to a carpenter or contractor. The Rockwell RK7241S table laser saw seems a good choice, but let’s see how it stands up to the competition.
What is in field?
Rockwell RK7241S comes with everything you need to get started, but let’s see what’s in the box.

Sawing unit
The assembly of this table saw is lockable and can be completed in a few minutes. The table saw and stand are fully assembled; unfold the stand in a few seconds, attach the saw to the stand and you’re almost done. Although it is possible to cut without saw blade protection, I strongly recommend its use; it only takes a few seconds to install and does not require any tools. Even the killer knife is installed in seconds and the dust bag is placed directly over the dust hole under the saw. My Rockwell RK7241S was launched in less than 20 minutes.
Then I had to adjust the blade, because it moved almost 1/8 inch from the front to the back of the blade. I’m used to aligning table saws, but this saw has the strangest saw blade alignment I’ve ever seen. It’s so weird that I almost thought there was no way to adjust the knife. Turn the saw over and remove the orange grid above the lower dust hole. You will need to operate a crank that raises and lowers the blade, and you will notice a nut holding a horizontal bolt that makes the power unit rotate. To balance the blade, loosen the nut and let the helper push and hold the engine in the correct direction, then tighten the nut. Not as easy as it should be, or maybe it is.
Characteristics
My favorite feature of this saw is thelaser guidance. It works perfectly and shows you exactly where the planting will take place, so you no longer have to guess when you are going to cut or split wood. My only wish is that the laser is powered by the saw itself and not by AAA batteries. It seems that the laser was not an integral part of the saw, but a minor consideration.
My other favorite is the 30-inch tear-off fence, which offers more longitudinal performance than any other table saw in its class. Thanks to the long cracked fence, the 4 x 8 plywood panels can easily be cut in half. The fence is stable and accurate and holds your wood easily if you let it run through the blade. This saw also has the deepest cut in its class, with a maximum depth of 39/16 inches for easy cutting of 4×4 wood.
The Rockwell RK7241S has a 15 Amotor and rotates the blade at 4800 rpm. This saw can easily cut very hard wood if it is properly aligned. If you notice that the blade slams or bounces excessively, check the alignment of the blade to make sure it is horizontal and vertical correct. The ejector support works perfectly to help you catch the wood when sawing, so you don’t have to rely on rollers or saw horses.
When a tree is placed on the table, the mitrometer remains beautiful and reliable without hesitation or play. Without the tree, you may notice that the tape measure is playing a little, but it is still accurate when held by your tree.
Finally, position. The carriage support is easy to fold and has integrated wheels for transporting the saw from the workshop to the construction site and vice versa. All accessories fit on the stand, so you don’t have to worry about losing parts.
At 88.5 pounds it is not the lightest table saw on the market, but it is certainly a good weight. Thanks to its integrated wheels, this table saw is easier to transport than other competing table saws.
The durability of this Rockwell.
The Rockwell RK7241S is a fairly robust table saw. After setting up, he holds up well, even after a few accidents and deposits. The surface of the table is good, without the signs of wear or friction that I have noticed on more expensive table saws. Rockwell has thought a lot about the power of this saw, and it’s pretty solid.
Easy to use
The Rockwell RK7241S is easy to use, especially with laser guides. The stop works perfectly and the pull-out table is easy to adjust. Before transport, the stand folds up in seconds and is ready to roll to the next location or return to the truck.
Warranty
Rockwell offers a two-year limited warranty on the RK7241S and after-sales service is highly appreciated. Unfortunately, they didn’t help me much when I wanted to know how to align the blade, but they gave me the right direction.
Rockwell RK7241S Abstract
The Rockwell RK7241S is an excellent table saw with one major disadvantage: the difficulty of aligning the blade correctly. On the whole, however, it’s a good saw if you know how to set it right. Once I levelled the saw blade, it remained absolutely faithful to the original for many hours of use. So I can always recommend this table saw to a hobbyist or do-it-yourselfer who wants a good quality table saw and is not afraid to waste time adjusting the blade.
